Jeollabuk-do Wanju-gun

Registered foreigners in Jeollabuk-do Wanju-gun number 5,334, which is 5.31% of the resident-registration population of 100,444. Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 7,105 in 2024, which is 6.9% of the resident-registration population of 102,877. Of these, 5,489 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 544 have acquired nationality, and 1,072 are children of foreign residents. By type, other foreigners number 1,786, foreign workers 1,742, International studentss 1,359, and Marriage migrants 417. Children of foreign residents number 1,072, which ranks 121 among 252 districts and is 15.1% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 5,334 people with a known status of stay, the most common are Student (D2) with 1,720 people at 32.2%, Non-professional Employment (E9) with 1,616 at 30.3%, and General Trainee (D4) with 503 at 9.4%. Organizations that support immigrants number 4 in this district, or 7.5 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
