Registered foreigners are counted across 192 nationalities.

Uzbekistan

People registered with Uzbekistan nationality number 69,317, which is 4.3% of all registered foreigners and ranks 5 in size. Compared with 36,945 in 2015, 10 years earlier, that is an increase of about 87.6%. They live in 248 districts, and the largest counts are Gyeongsangnam-do Gimhae-si with 3,085, Gyeongsangbuk-do Gyeongsan-si with 2,914, and Chungcheongnam-do Asan-si with 2,674. The index of dissimilarity (D) from Koreans is 0.45, the isolation index is 0.004, and interaction with Koreans is 0.95. The highest location quotient (LQ) is in Jeollanam-do Yeongam-gun at 17.7, where this nationality is 2.4% of the foreigners in that district. The continent of origin is Central Asia. The largest age group is 20-24 at 15.8%, and men are 66%. This value alone is based on staying foreigners. Estimated mother tongues are Uzbek at 70.9% and Russian at 13.6%.

Note: the dissimilarity index D measures how far a nationality's distribution across districts differs from that of Korean nationals; 0 means the two distributions match and 1 means complete separation. Isolation is the probability that a member meets someone of the same nationality, and interaction the probability of meeting a Korean resident.
