Gyeongsangbuk-do Uljin-gun

Registered foreigners in Gyeongsangbuk-do Uljin-gun number 1,763, which is 3.84% of the resident-registration population of 45,896. That is above both the national average of 3.14% and the Gyeongsangbuk-do average of 3.51%. It ranks 80 among the 250 districts. Within Gyeongsangbuk-do it ranks 8 of 23. The location quotient (LQ) for Indonesia is 11.7, and this one nationality is 36.9% of the foreigners in the district. Language demand estimated from the nationality composition is highest for Vietnamese, then Indonesian, then Chinese.

Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 2,772 in 2024, which is 6.1% of the resident-registration population of 45,274. Of these, 2,291 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 166 have acquired nationality, and 315 are children of foreign residents. By type, foreign workers number 1,594, other foreigners 517, Marriage migrants 117, and overseas Koreans with foreign nationality 60. Children of foreign residents number 315, which ranks 227 among 252 districts and is 11.4% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 1,763 people with a known status of stay, the most common are E10 (E10) with 887 people at 50.3%, Non-professional Employment (E9) with 539 at 30.6%, and Marriage Migration (F6) with 111 at 6.3%. Organizations that support immigrants number 2 in this district, or 11.3 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
