Gyeonggi-do Yangpyeong-gun

Registered foreigners in Gyeonggi-do Yangpyeong-gun number 1,757, which is 1.38% of the resident-registration population of 126,933. That is below both the national average of 3.14% and the Gyeonggi-do average of 3.59%. It ranks 205 among the 250 districts. Within Gyeonggi-do it ranks 31 of 42. Over the past 10 years, registered foreigners rose from 1,469 in 2015 to 1,757, an increase of about 19.6%. 50 nationalities are counted, and the three largest are Cambodia at 26.5%, Vietnam at 13.8%, and Nepal at 10%. Shannon diversity (H) is 2.369, below the national 2.607, and ranks 99 of 250 districts. Within Gyeonggi-do it ranks 22. By continent of origin, diversity is 0.07, below the national 0.123. It ranks 189 of 250 districts. Southeast Asia accounts for 56.1% and East Asia for 20.9%, and the two together are 77.1%. Language demand estimated from the nationality composition is highest for Khmer, then Vietnamese, then Chinese.

Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 3,791 in 2024, which is 3.1% of the resident-registration population of 121,622. Of these, 2,673 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 374 have acquired nationality, and 744 are children of foreign residents. By type, foreign workers number 895, other foreigners 830, overseas Koreans with foreign nationality 470, and Marriage migrants 419. Children of foreign residents number 744, which ranks 155 among 252 districts and is 19.6% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 1,757 people with a known status of stay, the most common are Non-professional Employment (E9) with 806 people at 45.9%, Marriage Migration (F6) with 316 at 18%, and Permanent Residence (F5) with 163 at 9.3%. Organizations that support immigrants number 1 in this district, or 5.7 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
