Registered foreigners are counted across 192 nationalities.

Cambodia

People registered with Cambodia nationality number 65,220, which is 4.1% of all registered foreigners and ranks 6 in size. Compared with 41,991 in 2015, 10 years earlier, that is an increase of about 55.3%. They live in 249 districts, and the largest counts are Gyeonggi-do Hwaseong-si with 3,811, Gyeonggi-do Icheon-si with 2,358, and Gyeonggi-do Gimpo-si with 1,882. The index of dissimilarity (D) from Koreans is 0.513, the isolation index is 0.004, and interaction with Koreans is 0.952. The highest location quotient (LQ) is in Chungcheongnam-do Nonsan-si at 12.9, where this nationality is 1.6% of the foreigners in that district. The continent of origin is Southeast Asia. The largest age group is 30-34 at 28.2%, and men are 68.6%. This value alone is based on staying foreigners. Estimated mother tongues are Khmer at 95.5% and Western Cham at 1.6%.

Note: the dissimilarity index D measures how far a nationality's distribution across districts differs from that of Korean nationals; 0 means the two distributions match and 1 means complete separation. Isolation is the probability that a member meets someone of the same nationality, and interaction the probability of meeting a Korean resident.
