Chungcheongnam-do Gyeryong-si

Registered foreigners in Chungcheongnam-do Gyeryong-si number 284, which is 0.62% of the resident-registration population of 45,846. That is below both the national average of 3.14% and the Chungcheongnam-do average of 5%. It ranks 245 among the 250 districts. Within Chungcheongnam-do it ranks 16 of 16. Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 645 in 2024, which is 1.4% of the resident-registration population of 45,026. Of these, 359 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 85 have acquired nationality, and 201 are children of foreign residents. By type, other foreigners number 123, Marriage migrants 99, foreign workers 93, and overseas Koreans with foreign nationality 41. Children of foreign residents number 201, which ranks 244 among 252 districts and is 31.2% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 284 people with a known status of stay, the most common are Non-professional Employment (E9) with 72 people at 25.4%, Marriage Migration (F6) with 71 at 25%, and Visiting Cohabitation (F1) with 45 at 15.8%. Organizations that support immigrants number 1 in this district, or 35.2 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
