Registered foreigners in Jeollanam-do Wando-gun number 5,800, which is 13% of the resident-registration population of 44,613. Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 6,715 in 2024, which is 13.9% of the resident-registration population of 48,182. Of these, 5,957 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 208 have acquired nationality, and 550 are children of foreign residents. By type, other foreigners number 2,855, foreign workers 2,805, Marriage migrants 233, and overseas Koreans with foreign nationality 64. Children of foreign residents number 550, which ranks 183 among 252 districts and is 8.2% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 5,800 people with a known status of stay, the most common are Non-professional Employment (E9) with 2,732 people at 47.1%, Seasonal Worker (E8) with 2,293 at 39.5%, and Marriage Migration (F6) with 206 at 3.6%. Organizations that support immigrants number 1 in this district, or 1.7 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
