Jeollabuk-do Jeonju-si Wansan-gu

Registered foreigners in Jeollabuk-do Jeonju-si Wansan-gu number 5,002, which is 1.58% of the resident-registration population of 316,419. That is below both the national average of 3.14% and the Jeollabuk-do average of 2.85%. It ranks 193 among the 250 districts. Within Jeollabuk-do it ranks 15 of 15. Language demand estimated from the nationality composition is highest for Vietnamese, then Chinese, then Burmese.

Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 8,251 in 2024, which is 2.5% of the resident-registration population of 327,406. Of these, 5,969 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 794 have acquired nationality, and 1,488 are children of foreign residents. By type, International studentss number 2,432, other foreigners 2,222, Marriage migrants 642, and foreign workers 393. Children of foreign residents number 1,488, which ranks 66 among 252 districts and is 18% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 5,002 people with a known status of stay, the most common are Student (D2) with 1,585 people at 31.7%, General Trainee (D4) with 1,126 at 22.5%, and Marriage Migration (F6) with 588 at 11.8%. Organizations that support immigrants number 16 in this district, or 32 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
