Registered foreigners in Jeollabuk-do Gunsan-si number 10,307, which is 4.02% of the resident-registration population of 256,291. Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 14,257 in 2024, which is 5.4% of the resident-registration population of 265,473. Of these, 11,277 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 1,113 have acquired nationality, and 1,867 are children of foreign residents. By type, foreign workers number 3,881, other foreigners 3,601, International studentss 1,894, and Marriage migrants 1,071. Children of foreign residents number 1,867, which ranks 38 among 252 districts and is 13.1% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 10,307 people with a known status of stay, the most common are Non-professional Employment (E9) with 3,035 people at 29.4%, Student (D2) with 1,990 at 19.3%, and Marriage Migration (F6) with 934 at 9.1%. Organizations that support immigrants number 14 in this district, or 13.6 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
