Registered foreigners in Gyeongsangbuk-do Goryeong-gun number 2,630, which is 8.87% of the resident-registration population of 29,667. Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 3,233 in 2024, which is 10.5% of the resident-registration population of 30,934. Of these, 2,766 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 167 have acquired nationality, and 300 are children of foreign residents. By type, foreign workers number 1,576, other foreigners 901, Marriage migrants 130, and overseas Koreans with foreign nationality 113. Children of foreign residents number 300, which ranks 230 among 252 districts and is 9.3% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 2,630 people with a known status of stay, the most common are Non-professional Employment (E9) with 1,531 people at 58.2%, Seasonal Worker (E8) with 317 at 12.1%, and Specially Designated Activities (E7) with 227 at 8.6%. Organizations that support immigrants number 2 in this district, or 7.6 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
