Gyeonggi-do Seongnam-si Bundang-gu

Registered foreigners in Gyeonggi-do Seongnam-si Bundang-gu number 3,106, which is 0.66% of the resident-registration population of 469,833. That is below both the national average of 3.14% and the Gyeonggi-do average of 3.59%. It ranks 243 among the 250 districts. Within Gyeonggi-do it ranks 40 of 42. Over the past 10 years, registered foreigners fell from 3,316 in 2015 to 3,106, a decrease of about 6.3%. 86 nationalities are counted, and the three largest are United States at 19.7%, China at 15.6%, and Japan at 10.3%. Language demand estimated from the nationality composition is highest for English, then Chinese, then Japanese.

Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 6,803 in 2024, which is 1.5% of the resident-registration population of 447,920. Of these, 4,860 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 536 have acquired nationality, and 1,407 are children of foreign residents. By type, overseas Koreans with foreign nationality number 1,649, other foreigners 1,211, Marriage migrants 1,125, and foreign workers 690. Children of foreign residents number 1,407, which ranks 73 among 252 districts and is 20.7% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 3,106 people with a known status of stay, the most common are Marriage Migration (F6) with 659 people at 21.2%, Permanent Residence (F5) with 537 at 17.3%, and Specially Designated Activities (E7) with 317 at 10.2%. Organizations that support immigrants number 3 in this district, or 9.7 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
