Chungcheongnam-do Boryeong-si

Registered foreigners in Chungcheongnam-do Boryeong-si number 5,152, which is 5.59% of the resident-registration population of 92,117. That is above both the national average of 3.14% and the Chungcheongnam-do average of 5%. It ranks 37 among the 250 districts. Within Chungcheongnam-do it ranks 5 of 16. Language demand estimated from the nationality composition is highest for Vietnamese, then Indonesian, then Khmer.

Foreign residents (MOIS) numbered 7,432 in 2024, which is 7.7% of the resident-registration population of 96,182. Of these, 6,206 do not hold Republic of Korea nationality, 493 have acquired nationality, and 733 are children of foreign residents. By type, foreign workers number 2,947, other foreigners 1,883, International studentss 766, and Marriage migrants 365. Children of foreign residents number 733, which ranks 157 among 252 districts and is 9.9% of foreign residents in this district. Among the 5,152 people with a known status of stay, the most common are Non-professional Employment (E9) with 1,792 people at 34.8%, E10 (E10) with 974 at 18.9%, and Student (D2) with 676 at 13.1%. Organizations that support immigrants number 5 in this district, or 9.7 per 10,000 registered foreigners.
